Step by step guide to installing software to conduct experiments
Easiest option (if sketch already installed)
(1) Download self-extracting Processing code (V19) from PhySense website
(2) Run self-extracting file
(3) Set options to record experiment (number of FFT bins, duration and samples per second)
(4) Conduct experiment
ALTERNATELY (if you want to edit Open Source software):
(a) Install Arduino IDE on your computer
(b) Plug PhyLink (Arduino board) into your computer (via USB)
(c) Select correct port COM 'X' to connect your computer to PhyLink (Arduiono board) where 'X' depends on your setup
(d) Optionally, check Port connection via Device Manager (on computer with Windows operating system)
(e) Download (and unzip) Arduino sketch (latest version) from PhySense website
(f) Open Arduino sketch (latest version) with Arduino IDE
(g) Upload Arduino sketch (latest version) to Arduino board
(h) Optionally, check configuration by viewing voltage measurements on IDE Serial Plotter or Monitor
(i) Install Processing IDE on your computer
(j) Add ControlP5 library to Processing IDE
(k) Download (and unzip) Processing code (latest version) from PhySense website
(l) Open Processing code (latest version) with Processing IDE
(m) Run Processing code (latest version) with Arduino board connected
(n) Set options to record experiment (number of FFT Bins, duration and samples per second)
(o) Conduct experiment
